Hey everyone hope you are doing well and had a good week, Have a amazing weekend! Today's post I want to share my thoughts on the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation that I have been using for the last couple of months and have a few thoughts on it that I want to share with you all today. Without further more let's get started on this review.
First thing that I noticed that I loved about this foundation that the bottle came with a pump which always makes the application of the product a lot easier and the pump gives you a lot more control on how much product comes out at once. I also notice that the pump as a lock to it so when you are done using this product all you have to do is give the the pump a twist and it locks which is another nice thing you don't have to worry about product spilling if you accidentally knock it over. I have two downfalls when it comes down to this bottle first downfall is that this bottle is glass which it makes it harder to travel with and the last downfall is that extra plastic cover that it has, I just don't see the need for it and it doesn't really stay on at well.
Anyways enough about the bottle and lets move on to talking about the product it self. This is a thick foundation but I don't feel like I have to use a lot of product to get the results that I want, so I would say a little goes a long way. I use about a full pump and a half and that covers my whole face and neck. The coverage to this item in my eyes is a medium to full coverage this is a build able product so you can build it up if you wanted more of a full coverage look. This foundation does have a scent to it I can definitely smell it when I am applying this to my face, so if you don't like foundations with a scent you might not like this one. The scent to me smells very herbal like I don't mind it but for someone who is bothered by scents then I can see where you would not like this item.
I have found that this foundation applies to face very smoothly and flawless. I love that this a lite weight foundation so you can't feel it on the face. The finish to this foundation I have found to be a semi matte product. I like to set this foundation with a matte powder since I do see that thru out the day this product gets a little too dewy for my taste. This product does stay on your face all day along which is always a good thing when foundation last on your face all day. If you were thinking about taking flash photography with the product I wouldn't since this as a spf of 20 which is a good thing for the summer and all year around, but not so much when it comes down to taking photos.
I love that this product comes in a wide rage of shades to chose from. This foundation cost $ 9.98 which is not a bad price point for a overall good foundation. Is this my favorite? I have to say no but if I was in a pinch and I needed a face product this would be one that I would grab.
That's all for this review on the Covergirl Vitalist Elixir Foundation. Hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe found it helpful if you were thinking about buying this for yourselves.
